Constructing an Integration Project For Success

There can be many things that make up success in any software development project and these are well known - scope, time, budget, quality are all levers that can and must be managed effectively to meet expectation and deliver the right result to the end-consumer.

And in an Integration project the above is all still true, and yet Integration projects are characterised as difficult, defect-rich, time critical projects for which organisations can sometimes find "No Operational Benefit" from linking Process and Data together technically.

At greymatterdigital it's important to always be considering that Integration projects are different.  They have different measures of success and can be managed differently and still allow for risks to be managed and issues taken care of.  Organisations can ask us for help and longer term coaching of Business and Technical teams that will allow projects to be more effectively delivered and also deliver more demonstrable value.

Training can take the form of workshops and/or on-site part time engagement to coach the team on the right methods to allow outcomes to flourish.

Digital Innovation

Innovation can be as simple as finding that single next step that takes an idea forward - or it can be striving for a new bigger-picture.

Innovation is a hard skill to maintain, it needs to be constantly sharpened.  Who remembers the excitement when they added the "defrost button" to a toaster, thereby making it easier to cook it to the right outcome straight from the freezer?  Revolutionary at the time, taken for granted now and yet incredibly simple and definitely valuable.

It can be a simple process or a more complex one, but it is still a process.  It has rules and direction and is always anchored in one or two positive thoughts that give it a sense of reality.

We can come and coach your team on looking for new ideas and then also to keep it going, have it become a skill, be intellectually curious and deliver more value to your team on a day-to-day basis.

Innovation is a culture of continuous improvement and in today's modern society more important than ever.
